Cobá · The Jungle Pyramid
An ancient city still wrapped in jungle, best explored early with a private guide.
The way we see it
Cobá never got cleared the way the famous sites did: the jungle still owns it, and the paths between temple groups run under real canopy. You rent a bike at the gate and ride ancient roads to a pyramid that shows above the trees.
Fifty minutes from Tulum, it pairs with a cenote into one of the easiest great days we build.
Why we recommend it
It's the site that still feels like a discovery: shade, bikes, birdsong and stone, a different mood from the open esplanades. Go early and the jungle does the air-conditioning.
What you'll experience
An early start, bikes or pedal-taxis down the white roads, your guide unfolding the city group by group, and the closest cenotes waiting for the swim after. Back in Tulum by mid-afternoon.

Questions we hear often
Quoted for your group: transport, guide and the day's shape define it, all itemized in writing.
Flat and shaded: kids handle it happily, and pedal-taxis carry anyone who'd rather ride shotgun.
