Xenotes

Four private cenotes on the Cenote Route, each a different type, each with its own activity.

The way we see it

Xenotes is a guided day run by Grupo Xcaret on the Cenote Route, near Puerto Morelos. You visit four private cenotes, one of each kind: a cavern, a semi-open cenote, an ancient cenote and an open one. Each stop has its own activity, from an assisted rappel into the cavern to kayak, ziplines and jumps into the water, and the day closes with a picnic in the jungle.

Why we recommend it

For the group that wants to see what cenotes really are, in one day and with everything organized. You spend about 45 minutes in each cenote with your guide, and you go home having swum, paddled and flown over the water.
