The way we see it
The temazcal is older than every ruin you'll visit: a dome of stone and clay where heat, herbs and song do work that's hard to explain and easy to feel. A guide who carries the tradition leads it; you just have to say yes.
Guests walk out quieter than they walked in. All of them.
Why we recommend it
Plenty of places sell a sweat lodge; far fewer keep it a ceremony. Ours is led with the songs, the herbs and the pacing intact: a cultural experience first, a wellness one as a consequence.
What you'll experience
Rounds of heat inside the dome: steam off river stones, herbs in the air, the guide's voice setting the rhythm, with cool water and sky between rounds. It's intense, and it's yours to pace: stepping out is always allowed.
