Akumal means 'place of the turtles', and the bay still keeps the promise, seagrass shallows where green turtles graze a few meters from shore. The whole visit turns on one variable: the hour.
We swim it at the hour the bay is quiet. The turtles behave differently when the water isn't full of fins, and so do you.

What you'll experience

The bay is their feeding ground, so odds are very high, but they're wild, and we'd rather promise you the right hour than a guarantee no honest guide can give.
