Punta Venado · Jungle Mountain Biking
Off-road mountain biking on jungle trails, with three levels of difficulty.
The way we see it
Punta Venado Bike Park is a mountain bike park in the jungle of the Riviera Maya, on the Playa del Carmen–Tulum highway between Xcaret and Paamul. Its trails are marked by difficulty: less difficult, for riders with basic bike skills, on flatter and wider trails; more difficult, for basic off-road skills; and most difficult, for good off-road skills.
It's off-road mountain biking on jungle dirt trails, more demanding than a leisurely bike ride, so it suits riders who already enjoy being on a bike.
Why we recommend it
For groups that want an active plan in the jungle: each rider takes the trail level that fits, and we organize the day around it, with private transportation from your stay if you need it, quoted separately.
Good to know
- Helmets are mandatory for every rider
- Every rider signs the park's liability waiver, and anyone renting a bike also signs a rental waiver
- Riders under 18 years old need their waivers completed by a parent or legal guardian, and ages 5 to 14 ride with an adult at all times
- Every bike needs a working brake on each wheel
- Recommended: gloves, eye protection and a 2 to 3 liter hydration pack for the heat
We confirm bike rental, trail access, hours and the park's current rate for your date. Private transportation is our own service and is quoted separately.
