Bubblegum-pink salt lakes and wild flamingos on the northern coast, a full-day expedition worth every mile.

The way we see it

At the peninsula's far northern edge, the salt lagoons turn a pink that cameras get accused of faking, and flamingos wade through it like they know. Next door, the Río Lagartos Biosphere Reserve holds the day's other half: mangrove channels, crocodiles and bird colonies that only reveal themselves by boat. Getting there is the longest run in our catalog, and the reason we build it as a true expedition day.

Nobody shrugs at that first wall of pink. Nobody.

What you'll experience

A regional seafood lunch in the fishing town closes the visit before the ride home. A long day that photographs like two.
