Cacao Ceremony

← All experiences

A guided ceremonial cacao circle.

The way we see it

Cacao was currency, offering and medicine here long before it was dessert. The ceremony brings that lineage back: a circle, a warm cup of pure cacao, and a guide walking the group through what the Maya knew about this plant.

It's quieter than the temazcal and gentler, a door into the culture that opens slowly.

Why we recommend it

Pure ceremonial cacao is a different substance from chocolate: bitter, warm, mildly heart-opening, and drinking it inside its original context, guided, lands differently than any tasting.

What you'll experience

A circle in a quiet setting, the story of the bean from pod to cup, intentions if you want them and silence if you prefer it, then the slow warmth of the drink doing exactly what it has done here for centuries.

A wooden spoon of cacao nibs and beans arranged on a white cloth, seen from above.
Hands cradling a rustic clay cup filled with warm ceremonial cacao over a patterned textile altar.
Hands making an offering over a clay cup as copal smoke rises, flowers arranged around it in the jungle.
A hand holding a cup of ceremonial cacao above an altar laid with crystals and offerings.

Questions we hear often

Quoted for your group and setting: at your villa or a ceremonial space, in writing.

It's caffeine-adjacent and warming: noticeable, gentle, and nothing like a psychoactive. Tell us about heart conditions or medications first.

Beautifully, sunset on your own terrace is the most requested version.
