The way we see it
Ask us for a boat day and Blue Iris is usually the first name out of our mouths: a 40-foot catamaran with the crew we trust most in the Puerto Aventuras marina, and the deck where more of our guests' favorite days have happened than anywhere else.
The formula hasn't changed because it works: sail out, anchor over the reef, snorkel, and let the open bar and the sun argue about which one runs the afternoon.
Why we recommend it
Twenty guests fit without anyone sitting on a cooler, the crew reads groups beautifully: families one day, a bachelorette the next, and the reef stop is real snorkeling, not a photo pause.
What you'll experience
You board at the marina five minutes from our base; the lines drop and Puerto Aventuras turns small behind you. Three hours covers the classic swim-and-snorkel; stretch toward eight and the day grows a second act: more coast, more food, a slower sun.
Getting there
Departs from the Puerto Aventuras marina, about 20 minutes from Playa del Carmen, 40 from Tulum and 1 h 20 from Cancún. The exact meeting point comes with your written confirmation, and we arrange the ride to the marina, quoted by your pickup point.
Your day on the water
- 3 hours. You set sail and within an hour the boat anchors at La Bocana cove: shallow water to swim with a drink in hand. Choose morning or sunset.
- 4 hours: North to the Inah or Paamul reefs, with about two hours of snorkeling in sheltered water.
- 5 hours: Reef (Inah, Paamul or Xpu-Ha) and a closing stop at La Bocana, the cove where the afternoon stretches out.
- 6 hours: The unhurried version, a calm reef stop plus a second one, at La Bocana or another reef.
- 8 hours: The full day on the water, Xpu-Ha beach, the northern reefs and one last stop at La Bocana.

Rates
From USD $1,200 · 3 hours. Charters run from 3 to 8 hours and we quote by duration and group size; longer charters come with a fuller menu. When you book, we confirm availability and the current rate for your date.
Before you book
- Booking and payment terms are confirmed in writing with your quote.
- Dock fee: USD $20 per guest, payable at the marina.
- Weather: safety calls the departure; if the day closes, we rework the plan with you.
On charter day
- Marina Bay, Puerto Aventuras, the exact meeting point comes with your written confirmation.
- What to bring: swimsuit and biodegradable sunscreen. Towels are on us.
- Marina transfers: we handle them, quoted by your pickup point.

Need transportation to the marina?
We can arrange private round-trip transportation from your hotel, villa or vacation rental to the marina, with a vehicle appropriate for your group size. Request transportation together with your charter. Transportation is quoted separately from the charter rate.
